Cutting Diet.... opinions?

Ok, So I'm new to this, and Im trying to shed some fat. Please critique my diet. Also this is my first attempt... So any and all advice is welcome and apperciated.

I work out 3 times a week...MWF and normally play basketball on Tu/Th and do some kind of activity on the weekend

I'm 5'6 175lbs unsure of my bf%

Add some dextrose or waxy maize POST WORKOUT, you need to create the insulin spike to get that protein into your muscles.

Besides that you seem to be on the right track :-)

Great advice here. Looks good. Are you using fitday.com to plan meals/track progress?
 
With the Waxy maize do I just mix that in with the same shake as my protein? or do I take them seperate? Also is there a certain amount I am supposed to take PWO?

You need AT LEAST 50MG'S WM in order for it to work correct, along with 75mg's HGI carbs, 20g aminos and creatine (if you want)

Protein shake 20. min. later. The WM CAN'T pull the protein powder through the blood stream quickly. That is why you wait the 20 min.
 
Now I'm getting confused..... Is the waxy maize to help the protein absorbtion? or is it for something else? I was under the impresion that it helped speed up the protein to the muscules.

Also can you explain 75mg's HGI carbs and the 20g aminos & creatine.... Is this more powder I should add to the mix? or are we talking about pills? or something else else?

Sorry I'm still new to all the supps and dieting and it seems the more I read the more confusing things get.... or maybe I'm just confusing myself.....But thanks for the help!!
 
u wanna add in some efa's, ur meal 3 and 5 are not that great. lose the wheat bread add some protein. banana isnt the best cutting food either. you would be better off with NPB/protein and possibly oats if u want carbs there.

As far as the wheat bread, I've already been making a few adjustments to remove some of the carbs. I did take out the Wheat Bread... And the bannana was to help with the taste of the PB. I was currently debating just eating the bannana with the PB with out bread... Otherwise... how do I eat the NPB? just by the spoonfull? I suppose i could do that... just never really thought about it till just now.

Also, I suppose I could eat half a can of Tuna with meals 3 and 5... Seems like kind of a weird combo with NPB but oh well.... Im eating for health not taste right??? haha

What are some other easy to eat/prep high protein options? I'm trying to avoid takeing any extra shakes. So any other options would be great.

WMS helps by speeding sugars through the blood stream and refuling glycogen storage in the muscles at a very quick rate. Protein is to heavy to be "pulled" by the WMS, it slows down the absorption rate. Aminos and creatine will pass through the stomach very fast with WMS AND AID IN RECOVERY ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. This is what you want post workout. The HGI (high glycemic index carbs) or sugar spikes your insulin and makes the body shuttle the aminos, creatine and WMS through the blood stream at a very qucik rate. HGI carbs and WMS combined will help the nutrients pass through the stomach almost immediately.

Heres what to do if you don't understand the above. Take 2 cups of grape juice with 2 scoops WMS and some aminos (this can be found just about anywhere) about 1-2 TBSP. You can add 1 TSP creatine as well if you wish. Once you have all of this mixed up drink it down as soon as you finish your last rep.

20 min later you want to put down a 50g whey shake.

45min to 1 hour after that a solid meal. Usually lean meat, complex carbs and efa (essential fatty acids) like natural peanut butter, almond butter or some type of nuts or olive oil.
