Critique My Supplement Regimen

I'm assuming you're cutting? If you're cutting I would go for the glutamine or BCAA's, personally i prefer the BCAA's.

As far as your post workout shake, you need to add some carbs to it. Think of how much energy was spent, how much of the protein you will use just for energy b/c there are no carbs. You need either some dextrose, maltodextrin, or a sugar food full of simple sugars at the very least. A good dose would be 50g dextrose w/ 50g whey. And i'd throw in a second shake to cover yourself for the 4 hour window of opportunity. A whey shake only lasts for 2 hours. And in those 4 hours you want the most possible protein around.

Also why if you're not a female are you supplementing w/ Iron? Guys don't bleed like females and we don't need that much of it. I would look into a good multivitamin, i personally like AST's multi i buy it pretty cheap at DPSnutrition.com and i take it twice a day.

I would not take the whey before bed, b/c like i said it's in and out of your system in less than 2 hours. You're better off taking some Calcium Casseinate, you can find it at proteinfactory.com it's not expensive. Fiber and Flax will slow it down even further, but you may be covered for a much longer time w/ the cassein, you don't want to go catabolic at night when most of the growing takes place do ya?

About your creatine. This is just a personal thing, b/c i've heard you should not take it w/ whey i wouldn't throw it in the shake. I take it w/ water right after my workout and then i'll take the shake after 20min.
 
Ouch 100mcg clen at a time! Lately (this last week) I have been very sensitive to clen. I take 4-5 tabs throughout the day. You may want to include a multivitamin or some extra potassium to avoid the cramps associated with clen. Other than that, it looks good.

glutamine is good too :)
 
Dump the Iron, it's bad for your long-term cardio vascular health. In general, men should avoid Iron like the plague.
 
OK I'm dumping the Iron. I thought athletes/ trainers where lacking in Iron.
As for the Clen, I've just had a really bad experience on that shit. Heavy sides. Maybe I was coming down with the flu, but man did that last cycle knock the crap out of me!!
riskybizz007: cheers for the feedback. I'll think of adding that dextrose, maltodextrin. Do you mean adding these individualy or just purchasing a Protein powder which includes the carbs in.
My MEAL 2 contains quite a bit of Carbs already which is why I'm not putting them in with the post work out shake (Designer).
As for the pre-bed shake: Casein is something I've been looking into for a while now. Would Dorian Yates' range of shakes do the job?
Man this Creatine with Protein thing is sooo confusing! Some say it helps in the absorption (AST) and some say it gets in the way!! Who knows! Its just I heard its best to ingest your Creatine just after your workout. Same applies to your protein. SO?.....

Personally i just use Dextrose and whey. Maltodextrin is much more expensive and IMO not worth the cost. The simplest sugar dextrose works optimally IMO. And it's found dirt cheap, one site that sells it is www.supplementsdirect.com
You can consume lots of carbs before a workout, but you figure that lots of the carbs ingested would be gone by the time your workout is finished. To refuel your muscles as fast as possible throw down the post workout shake.

I don't know if i fully trust AST's theory on this. I find when i take creatine before a shake it works better. But I take creatine twice a day, i also found this to work better for me. But after a workout, and 1st thing in the morning are 2 optimal times to take it. Again, i'd opt for taking it by itself and then a shake or juice or whatever.

I don't know what Dorian's shake has in it. Really i'm not that interested either since it's so expensive. I buy my cassein from www.proteinfactory.com i buy Calcium Casseinate.

And about Iron, you use up and lose many more minerals other than Iron. So you should probobly invest in a multimineral.

Yes use just plain dextrose, you don't want to use regular sugar b/c of all the fructose it has.

And about PF's Cassein, right now i just use regular cassein by itself, not combined w/ anything else except what i mix it w/, milk.
 
You got it. No chance of the dextrose gettin' stored as fat tho? As in if its not all burnt off through the day?
