I think we're being fed a bunch of bullshit about what we have to eat to keep and gain big muscles. I need to eat cheaply and have been for the last several weeks. I think the following will meet all my nutrition needs. If you disagree, let me know.

Lots of tuna, bread, rice. Raison Bran cereal, whey protein powder, weight gain powder for extra calories when I need them, sunflower seeds unprocessed to put in tuna. Milk. multi-vitamin, creatine, testosterone. That's it, basically all I eat and I have been gaining size lately. Rarely any vegetables, only need them for fiber anyway and I don't have a problem with elimination. Usually I will have a chicken sandwich with swiss cheese and a cup of fruit, but I'm going to cut down on this because of expense.

Im not crazy about any carbs cept for brown rice and oatmeal I think u get just about everything there , but man tuna gets old , I gotta have turkey or chicken (steak if Im home). But I think u've got plenty there so long as you lift heavy.

i think as long as the majority of your meals contains protein from real food as opposed to hitting the shakes, you're good. i eat as cheaply as possible, too. how about oatmeal? that's about as cheap as you can get for an excellent source of carbs. tuna's about as cheap as you can go for protein, but i won't eat it because i can't stand the taste. milk is god.
raisin bran however is not all that cheap, plus it's got sugar in it, doesn't it?

Noone knows huh? Well I'm stickin with it because it's working and very cheap. You're not going to get big and strong off vegetables and fruit.

You need the sugar for the extra calories and as long as you take it with slow absorbing carbs, fat , and protein, then you won't get the insulin rush. Raison bran is cheap where I live, I get the off brand and it has lots of fiber.

I can't stand oatmeal. Eat it occasionally. Thanks for concurring here. I've always spent too much on food and I don't think it's necessary.

Keep in mind that Im not entirely positive about my advice (although I assume it is still acceptable if I post in this thread)

I believe that as long as horseradish sauce is put on every item of food/drink (yes, even water) you will develop a tolerance for horseradish sauce.

i'd agree with ssme - oatmeal and milk are great and very cheap. also eggs are super cheap source of protein. also yams are cheap and easy, and a great source of carbs. i try not to eat so much bread.

I am on a budget right now, and I live on chicken, tuna, yams, potatoes, oatmeal, milk, eggs, ground beef, protein powder, and peanutbutter and olive oil.

some might say ideally, you should add some healthy fats.
