Sometimes I use 1/2 cup cottage cheese as a protein source.

The question I'm asking I guess is there a limit on how much CC I should use as my protein over egg whites and chicken and whey??

I'd like to use it in two meals instead of one.

What do you think?

Not the best place to get my protein? Should I be careful how much CC i'm eating? Its soo good mixed with fruit or oatmeal. Yum.
 
I don't see anything wrong with getting a lot of your protein from CC. The only thing to be wary of is the fat content: it is not the best type of fat for the body.

I am very picky about my cottage cheese -- I like most lowfat brands, but I prefer to eat fat free CC because I get all the protein w/o the bad fats. The best tasting and texture ff CC I have found is the Light N' Lively brand -- it's in a pink and purple container and I've found it at major supermarkets (SuperTarger, Wal-mart Market, Publix).

Hope that helps. Be sure to get in all those other sources too -- but I get my snack-time protein from CC and tuna packets (Starkist marinated "Sweet N' Spicy pouches are GREAT!)
 
I like Cottage Cheese also......but I like 1% cuz it usually has less sugar than FF....

I eat 1/2 - 1 cup depending on my allotted cals for the day.....

I'm with ya' on the serving size; I never eat more than 1 cup a day unless it's the weekend and I need a 2nd snack, I might go back for more.

Good call on the sugar/carb content.
