College Meal Plan

I've been asking a lot of questions and hopefully, pretty soon, I can do some answering, but...

I have a college meal plan and it pains me not to use it. I ordered it last year and it's too late to cancel. Breakfast is pretty bad. They offer sausage links and eggs maybe once or twice a week. Dinner is usually burger, fries, and pizza. There was supposed to be a "fit" menu this year, but it's no where to be found.

Now, would indulging in these foods a few times a week kill my diet? Or can I get my veggies and meat from there and be fine? I just don't want to waste a $1,000 food plan. Advice? Thanks.

what else do they offer? i know thats not ALL...my bro goes to UCI and his food place is a buffet and usually has for breakfast toast/eggs (scrambled/sunny side up/omelet)/sausages/hash browns/like every kind of cereal you can imagine/waffles/etc. - if i was you and you want to stay strict to diet i'd get sunny side up eggs and just scoop out the yellow part n dont eat it or eat maybe 1 egg yellow with about 4 egg whites...(i hope they have this as an item on the menu) also check all the cereals...my bros school has a selection of like 20+ cereal kinds...i never checked the labels but i'm SURE 1 of them is something healthy and not too sugary...id advise that as well...

for dinner i think you should have a huge selection...at UCI they offer pizza, hamburgers, fries, but have salad also (its off upstairs like almost hidden so your school might have it in a separate place also - might want to ask), lots of soups which can be really healthy/tasty :p and they usually change it up and some days have like a chicken breast/mushroom mixed plate as a special n that is tasty/healthy but some days its fattening lasagna :worried: - i know alot of my post is of no use to you and i'm sorry i have ADD and go off topic alot...but just check all over the place for ANYTHING healthy...and take some advice: if theres nothing BUT unhealthy food...eat the least unhealthy thing there...

also i say get a schedule of the specials and when they are you might want to go in on say pot roast night for some lean protein but then skip out on spaghetti night...

i don't think "cheating" on your diet a few times a week will totally mess up your diet...of course it will hurt it...but it won't kILL it completely...if you eat wisely in between your meal plan cheating times then i think you will be ok...unless you're hardcore like gymratforlife and are going for 9% BF...in which case you NEED to stay strict to your diet...if you just want to maintain a healthy diet while lifting a few indulging periods are ok if you ask me...

i am losing body fat, gaining strength/size, maintaining my body weight all because of my partial diet and regular workout routine...but like you i have a hurdle to get past...my parents force me to eat lunch with them (usually unhealthy like white rice/meat or pasta/sauce/meat) and so everyday i have a cheat meal when i have to but for breakfast maybe a healthy bowl of oatmeal with a banana and for dinner maybe some chicken breasts/steaks/or tuna/mushrooms/1 wheat bread slice...

just some stuff to think about post or pm more if you have any questions bro
