Cheap protein sources...

Texas Ranger said:
Yeah, reduce your servings to 40-50 grams several times a day(6-8) is ALOT better. Also, if you are serious about growth, DO NOT eat Black Beans, focus on Tuna, Eggs & Whole Chicken because they are CHEAP!!!

Why not BLACK BEANS? WHATS the problem with it?

I remember there was a post awhile back about cheap protein sources...

Yes, I know that tuna is the cheapest. But I was looking for the entire list. I can't find it. I'm trying to get to 250g of protein a day, but also don't want to break the bank doing it.

Right now, the plan would be to drink 50g of shakes, 3 cans, 10oz of hamburger meat, and any suggestion that the group might have...

I did a lot of homework and a spreadsheet on this. Tuna is pretty cheap, but by far the cheapest, even including S&H, is allthewhey.com. And unlike Tuna, mercury is never something to worry about.

It's NOT a complete source of protein. You won't build any decent amount of muscle eating black beans as comapred to Egg Whites, Chicken, etc...

go to costco and get their protein... 5lb 100% whey PRO-RATED its only $19 and has 90 servings per tub! And it tastes sooo good thats the only protein i use.

Try a Crunchy Shrimp Roll = 650 calories, 83g carbs, 36.8g protein
I can eat 2-3 rolls in a meal no problem.

Personally I prefer just sushi or nigiri,
A bite size piece of Salmon = 64 calories, 12g carbs 2.6g protein
Tuna = = 62 calories, 12g carbs 3.1g protein
And a single Nigiri Shrimp = 89 calories, 12g carbs and 8.2 grams of protein!

I can eat 30+ Shrimp for lunch, that’s a whooping 246g of protein for about 2600 calories, and Yes You Feel IT!

Not only is sushi full of protein and low in fat, but it also contains B-vitamins, minerals like selenium, and Omega 3 fatty acids.

Oh, you said cheap?
Tip: become the personal trainer for a sushi chef ;) ;) ;) ;)

No doubt shrimp is mega high in protein ,(along with lobster too), but watch out cause its MEGA high in Colestorol......!
