Charles River Biking: Heaven on Earth

Just did a nice 15 mile bike up and down the river. Beautiful day and shoreline was packed with returning college girls sunning themselves...please don't make the summer end!

I got lost going up and down the road that runs parallel to the river while looking for a Howard Johnson motel that you couldn't see from the road at night.

Just did 31 miles in an hour and a half. It's funny because I always feel like I could ride endlessly. I have no idea how tired I am until I'm off the bike. ;)

That means you go twice as fast as me! You probably have one of those fancy racing bikes. Way to go Raina...

Indeed Heaven on Earth, I love riding my bike. Especially in the sunshine and going places. I havent driven a car in like weeks. No reason to and I get places faster on my racing bike with all the traffic here in Portland. We have a light rail train system, best in the world they say and Portland is the best city for biking, you can get on the train with your bike and just zip downtown or across town and watch the traffic stop and go while zipping along at 50mph. Get off and few minutes anywhere in the area.
Save loads on gas and get great cardio and just enjoy the sunshine. It is heaven on earth sometimes.
Like at night going to 24 hour fitness, they have awesome new clubs here and going riding at night in the warm August air is amazing. But I always get that feeling that life is so good and that movie City of Angels with Meg Ryan riding her bike at the end, wtf, that sucked. Hope that doesnt happen to me
