Catabolic workouts

Correct me please If im wrong !

If your Bf% is above 20/25% and you do weights for a hour would a hour cardio straight after be catabolic. I ask as I have looked into this before and have come across some stuff stateing that any workout over a hour and a half becomes Catabolic.

Now last week I put up a post asking about useing AAS while bf% was 26% to hold onto muscle.

I was told by a few that untill your body fat is lower you will not have the problem of burning muscle you will burn mostly fat. Im not trying to connect the two.

Many Thanks all !

If you can split the two hours your are best. In other words do the cardio first thing in the morning and then weights like 8hrs later or so. If this is not possible you should consume some protein right after the weights before the cardio. Otherwise you are missing out on that optimal 1/2 hrs window after you lift and 2hrs without any nutrients would be catobolic.

I just wanted to say I agree with am/pm training if possible, with my # 1 goal at that time being fat loss. I was very successful with am cardio pm training.

Fat burning/workout is catabolic by the very definition of it. All workouts are catabolic.

As far as bodyfat and workout/cardio not being an issue, I wrote a paper on this a while back. I will see if I can dig it up.

Sip/Eat Maltrodextrin/Dexrose every couple minutes consistently comsuming about 60g Carbs during workout and then Take 50g Whey Post Workout. Then hit up your cardio and you'll be good to go. Not catabolic.

ANYONE ON THIS SIP THROUGH OUT WORK OUT THEORY ?

I do 30 minutes of cardio immediately after I train in the morning and another 30 minutes at night. It's the best of both worlds. You will burn off your stored glycogen while you train so that when you start your cardio you will start tapping into your fat stores right away. At night, if you keep your carbs low throughout the day, you will also start accessing bodyfat immediately.

You can still lose muscle if you are dieting when you are fat. It doesn't matter what your bodyfat % is, the physiology is still the same.

Do it all the time. Sip a diluted glucose/protein drink during my workout when bulking. Makes a huge difference. Sip is the key word.
Lifter, I did this today for my legs day ... workout was fantasmic. Thanks for the tip
