Can you ID a VD by smell alone?

Wouldnt different bacteria have different smells? It would be cool if there were like scratch-n-sniff cards that could show you what herpes smells like, so if you smell it on your finger you would know whats up...oh never mind this is a stupid idea, I was trying to hard to come up with a provocative sexy thread...
