Can i do anything to prevent this?

I just got in a nasty motorcycle accident. I broke and dislocated my wrist so it looks like imm gonna need surgery. I go in to get it re-located tomorrow and then they will be putting pins and screws in it next week. Im pissed. My legs look decent but they are gonna be getting way bigger than my upper in the next 6 monthes. looks like im back to natural BB for about 6-8 monthes. Unless theres stuff i can be taking to help retain mass but i think its just bound to happen. I'll probably loose about 15-20 lbs.

Don't sweat it.

When it's over, you'll put the weight back on quickly.

Work what you can and don't try to do too much too quickly with that wrist or you'll regret it.

Man im sorry to here that:( but I can feel for yea cause im just now recovering from a serious broken arm. for the past 3 months all I could do was sit around and watch TV or play on the PC, so I put on about 5% more bf, which I am just now starting to loose. while I was layed up I just contiued to take my protein supps, aminos, glutimine, flax oil and tryed to eat clean.I want(ed) to take some fina to help recover but everyone on here said to wait until im 100% back to the way I used to be.

well good luck and hang in there and get the surgery, I had the option to and I passed it up (man I wished I would of got it!!!)

I would continue legwork, but working out for stamina rather than strength or size. 12-15 reps, 4sets, 2-3 times per week. Look at doing low to moderate intensity cardio also during this period, three to four times per week. Also, keep diet at maintenance levels (lean body mass times 11 plus 1000 cals) as a minimum. You will need to adjust this as needed. You can use Clomid 50mg daily for maintenance as well. You can also use Oxandrin 20mg daily or even Deca 200-400mg weekly for maintenance. I also have used Androgel 5g daily for maintenance. Rehab is a pain.

Try very low dose primo or anavar to help slow muscle wasteing.
 
thanks for all the comments and feedback. just some info of where im at. I was supposed to start week 9 of a sust/deca/winny cycle but decided to cut it short to an 8 week cycle instead of the 10 weeks. Im gonna start clomid in 2 weeks to kickstart the nutz. I also dont get phat when im not lifting. I stay the same bf % and just loose mass. Ya think i should continue to keep cals up high in hopes to keep mas or no? Is fina a bad idea to take if you arent training? Cows take it w/o training and it seems to work well for them. Sorry for all the questions. Heres my stats if it might help with advice.

keep in mind this is what i look like at 4000 cals a day so im not gonna get fat, just small.
 
Sorry about the accident that sux bro but its only a short layoff and I am sure you will better then before when it heals up. You are like the size I want to be. I need to add another 10 lbs or so though to get that size. What kind of gains did you get from that sust/deca/winny cycle?
 
prob. about 15 solid lbs of quality muscle. A lot of people gain a lot more from the same cycle but i put on some really qualty rock hard muscle and made some huge progress in the gym, so even though i was lacking a little in mass on this cycle, i was more than satisfied.
 
Hey bro, I KNOW THE FEELIN. I race motox and I fucked up my wrist bad! I wrecked on a 90' double last march I had 2 surgeries adn got my cast off in the end of May, the day i got my cast off is the day I started back at the gym. Remember take it lite at first then you'll build it up. I jumped on a cycle that October. right now I got a plate and two screws in my wrist with about 80% motion and an anchor holdin my shoulder insocket and i still ride and I still hit the weights
