BRANDS of supplements

Gladiola

I've read lots of posts about taking ALA, glutamine, ECA etc. but rarely hear people mention brands. I feel so clueless when walking into Vitamin World about which brand to buy!

Plus, I know the FDA doesn't regulate supplements & lots of them don't even contain what they claim to.

Has anyone heard of or used APEX?

Supposedly they volunteered to be regulated by the FDA. The gym where I train just started selling the stuff.

I need some ALA now & need a brand! After my trip to the Bahamas I want to try Creatine & need a brand for that too. :)

I work at a gym and all of us get a commision when we sell APEX products. Personally, I think there are other brands out there that are better and save you money. Next time you go to your gym look at the labels on the products. For example, APEX's protein powder is loaded with sugar. Hope this helps-

I think APEX is sold only at 24HR Fitness? I've tasted their Better Whey Chocolate and it tastes pretty good. But for all else, I like Prolab, Max Muscle, MHP, Isopure.

I really don't think there is one supplement company to recommend in general over another.

www.beyond-a-century.com

has great prices on m ost things and customer service is great.

Other good companies:

Twinlab - ripped Fuel and Extreme
Nature's Best - Iospure Protein
Linburg(McFarland) - good vitamins/minerals
Prolab - pretty good protein, good multi vits
