Body fat estimate...??

problem with keto diet is when you come off you will gain everything back quickly.

you should slowly adjust down your carbs but don't just turn them off overnight. this is why so many people fail at losing weight and go back to being fat again. lets say you went out to an Italian restaurant tonight and had a 3 course meal.. appetizer, bread, entree.. whatever.. just a full course italian dinner. you would literally step on the scale the next day and be up 4 pounds overnight no joke. so you gotta be careful running keto

4lbs of water and glycogen retention....... cant gain fat like that overnight.
not a big deal imo...

^^^weight gain is weight gain. and the body will store fat very quickly over time coming off of keto.. unfortunately there are no short cuts with 'dieting'.. you have to make lifestyle changes.

just clarifying for anyone who reads this thread and thinks jumping into keto diet as a temporary fix is a smart thing.

oh i think keto is shitty imo... much better to cycle carbs...

glycogen and water weight is only bad if you keep it on all the time... if youre killing it in the gym you will shred this by night easy... it can be used as a strength advantage...

Hey Moya what up bro,
Could you give a quick example of how you would cycle your carbs for a strength advantage?? I am genuinely curious , thx man

Ride it like you stole it!!

i would go super low carb during the week, maybe 25g-100g which is low for me... weekend i load up, dont really count, just have at it...
carbs can make you fat, sitting around...
or they can make you strong, tearing it up...
i like to eat good tasting food so i tear my shit up...
as a note: i do zero cardio, but my job is extremely physical!

when i load up its usually to either fill out or to lift at a meet/ or PR....
to fill out i will keep my carbs VERY low for a week, and then load up 24hrs before a photo or whatever.... sodium is OK for me here... but we are all different...
for a meet i dont go as low, but i have to make weight, and i weigh in usually 24hrs out and after i weigh in i eat EVERYTHING in sight... i make weight at 148 and may be lifting at 155ish...
BUT, if you diet too much leading up to this, you will not be able to handle dirtier calories...

So guys what do you think that should i drop this whole keto diet thing and goes for either 'carb cycling' or 'calorie deficit' of around 500 of my maintenance calories.I too think that im dropping weight very quickly and looking too flat on keto diet is also a minus.I ve lost around 5 pounds more since this thread ve been started. It would be great if you guys can give some pointers for this whole carb cycling.I ve eliminated most of the sugars, breads, diary products and junk foods from my diet.My diet consists of mainly lean meat, green veggies for fiber, eggs, peanut butter(i cant stay away from this thing).

^^^ i'm not saying necessarily to drop the keto .. i'm saying you should gradually go into it and gradually come off of it.

almost like what moya was saying with cycling on and off.

of course it all depends on many factors. if you dig ditches all day or you sit on your ass like I do on your computer things will be different. also if you are a meso vs. an ectomorph or whatever body type you are. YOU should do what works best for YOU. so if what you are doing is working stick with it.. what I'm saying is don't go back to eating dirty again and think you will magically not gain everything back coming off the keto... keep in mind on keto expect muscle wasting. the muscles need carbs and cals to grow as much as they need protein, vitamins, and minerals. you need all of the above. typically the guys that you see run keto type diets on this site are usually guys comping and they are juiced up to compensate for that, and they will be the first ones to tell you after their comp they gain a shit load of fat back fast if they gorge.

this is about it...

i think you should shave the outline of abs into your stomach.. lol.

it doesn't look to me like you have a lot of fat on you, just not a lot of a base foundation to make it more apparent. i'd actually say between 12-15%
