Not all scents will work on all people, it does depend on your own phermones and biochemistry.

I would suggest trying some in a shop or getting a tester.

It also takes some time for a fragrance to 'settle' so the immediate scent may not be how it smells in an hour.

A few that I really like

comme de garcons (that square bottle with the scratches on it, forget the name)

Hermes, Cartier and Lalique also make great scents.

I wear some men's fragrances, they can work on women, and some women's scents can work on men.

Two of my favs are Paul Smith London (for men) and Burberry Brit Red/Burberry Brit, both for men.

If you are on a budget, Diesel Masculine or the new one are quite yummy.

This one CUTE ass girl I work with always sports the A&F fierce.
It's alright... BUT ON HER its SUPER BOMB...

A&F Fierce gets me the most "you smell good" comments. Issey Miyake (which we call Mr Miyagi) also works.
