Do this drinks such as diet coke and such really contain no carbs at all? No sugar ect? If one were cutting carbs would it still be ok to drink diet coke or diet Dr pepper, ect?
Although the carb content of diet sodas is practically nil, the nutritional value is also nil. If you are using any thermogenic supplements while you are cutting, watch your caffeine consumption from all sources, including some sodas where the caffeine content is usually much higher for the diet variety.
If anyone likes cream soda Stewart's diet cream soda is amazing. It's sweetened with Splenda so there is virtually no diet flavor at all. It really helps me stay on my diet because I drink it as a snack replacement.
For what it's worth, I drink diet soda and remain lean without problems. A mistake people make is going over-board with other food choices based on the notion that "it's okay to eat such and such because I'm saving calories by drinking diet soda".
