AD refeed foods?

After 12 days of eggs, chicken, may, beef, flax, ANP, I am getting ready for my first refeed which will become a weekly event every Sunday.

Is it ok to eat anything low fat on refeed days? For example, low fat ice cream, any low fat cereal, breads, soups, etc? I have found a bunch of these foods with no High Fructose in the ingredients.

My buddy eats whatever he wants (pizza, buffets, etc) and another friend eats only oats, yams, skim milk multi-grain bread and taters.

It all depends. It's been a while since I've looked over the anabolic diet, so I can't remember off hand what the requirements are.

But Like I said re-feeds depend on a couple factors. How lean you are and how bloated you get is an important factor in my opinion. Bigger re-feeds tend to bloat you up and blimp you out, even if they are clean. So the leaner you are, typically the less objectionable the bloat "looks" the next day.

Some people don't bloat too much from re-feeds or cheat meals, but others do.

Best is to start small, and as you get leaner... you can go bigger and dirtier in my opinion.

When I first started out, I would keep my re-feeds to about a max of 300 carbs... as I wouldn't bloat. The leaner I got, the bigger I allowed my carb intake to be on re-feed days or for cheat meals.

But to answer your question, re-feeds are typically kept clean and low fat... whereas cheat meals tend to be pretty big and dirty.

You have to learn your limits and learn what works best for you through experimentation.

To really answer your question... as far as low fat re-feeds go, here are some of my favorites:

popcorn, snackwells cookies, cereal (cap'n crunch is my favorite), waffles, potatoes (baked hash browns, baked fries, etc), bagels, rice krispies treats (you can home make them low fat), sandwhiches, pitas, baked chips, fat free/low fat chips, etc... Sometimes oatmeal, oat bran.

That's a good starting place

Thanks for the reply. I have had cheat days with 600-800 carbs before and besides being full, I did not bloat that much, of course this was on a low carb diet, not a no carb diet. It seems once I go on a no carb diet, like CKD or AD, it turns me into a carb sensitive machine.
