LAS VEGAS, April 5 – It’s always interesting to watch a fighter’s rituals before a weigh in. Some, like welterweight Josh Burkman, walk around apparently without a care in the world while taking video of his fellow fighters; others - like Keith Jardine and Rashad Evans, along with Albuquerque training partner Nate Marquardt (who is not in action tomorrow) – don’t say a word. Really, not a word.

But while the gamut runs from the Gameboy-playing Luke Cummo and the suit-wearing Chael Sonnen to the wisecracking Joe Stevenson, all 18 fighters on Thursday’s Ultimate Fight Night card at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino had one thing in common – they all made weight for the show, leaving fight fans with nine intriguing matchups featuring some of the sport’s up and coming stars.

Ultimate Fight Night will be televised live on Spike TV beginning at 8pm ET / PT. It will be followed by the season premiere of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ season three at 10pm ET / PT.

The New York Times recently wrote a column wondering if Spike TV is becoming Ultimate Fighting TV. Spike TV is featuring MMA's biggest promotion in North America every day this week and Spike will be banking on the UFC for ratings numbers starting on Thursday Night's.

The fourth installment of Ultimate Fight Night Live takes place on Spike TV at 8pm as the show will not battle WWE wrestling this upcoming year. The season premiere of TUF 3 is actually a special 90-minute episode that is scheduled to air from 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM Eastern Time.

After the live show, the Ultimate Fighter Season 3 debuts featuring Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock as rival coaches. Spike TV is giving the UFC three hours of prime time coverage this week and they hope the ratings will reflect the popularity of the UFC.

The UFC will see a much better time slot for primetime programming that will not go head to head with the WWE's Monday Night Raw. Three hours of Ultimate Fighting should be a good draw for the network. Here is the upcoming card for Thursday Night's live show.

ULTIMATE FIGHT NIGHT LIVE - April 6 at the Hard Rock Hotel

I can't find any odds and I don't know jack about this so I can't create any on my own.
what I'm thinking is with 9 events having a contest of some sorts, best of nine gets 80% of the pot.
or maybe having a bookie event in which you need to pick 2 of 3 winners in any 3 match-ups of your choice to "win".
I'll set-up a bookie event with a limit,that's your max wager.
then when you wager you post your 3 selections.
if you hit 2 of 3 you win
