Colorado (34-21-6) at Dallas (38-18-3) 8:00 pm EST
DALLAS (Ticker) - The Dallas Stars' defensive problems did not disappear during the Olympic break.
The Stars hope to avoid a four-game losing streak for the first time this season Saturday when they skate with the Colorado Avalanche.
Dallas has allowed six goals in each of its last three games after previously yielding that many three times all season. In Thursday's 6-2 loss to Phoenix, the Stars were forced to pull goaltender Johan Hedberg after two periods in which he allowed four goals on 21 shots.
Marty Turco - who was the victim in the previous two losses - came on and surrendered two goals on 10 shots as Dallas concluded its road trip with a 1-3 mark.
The Stars actually go back on the road for four more games following Saturday's contest, thus making it the team's only home game from February 6-March 13.
Colorado is coming off Thursday's 1-0 victory over Columbus as David Aebischer made 24 saves for his third shutout of the season and Brett Clark scored the lone goal for the Avalanche, who won for the fifth time in six games.
After losing the first meeting with Colorado this season, Dallas has won the last two encounters - both in shootouts. The Stars are 8-0 in the new format, by far the best record in the league.
