Sorry for missing the post where you talk about carb depletion and sleep.
Yes lowering carbs cause problem with sleep, specially while in depletion.
Just try to lower to the maximum (besides workout) all other activities in the day, if possible try to go to bed earlier than usual (like 1-2 hours earlier than usual) or take naps during the day.
