Here is a photo of the wife at 132 lbs right before we left to go weigh in. She now weighs 145 lbs. had a hell of a carb load.

how you do at the show?
I did alright. I was so nervous before each lift my heart rate was in the 150's so I had a hell of a time keeping cool. Was sweats g so hard and nervous thought I was going to pass out. Squat I got 507, bench got 363 and failed at 385. Got 573 on deadlift. I lost grip with 606 but I had it in lockout went up easy. Just need to work on grip and I will have 675 in no time. I can basically do 5 reps with 600 on deadlift no problem with straps so my strength is there. Will take the next 12 months to build up and get ready for nationals. The wife broke the deadlift American Record with 385. Not bad considering she is not a conventional deadlifter. She excells at sumo.

grip is always an issue bro even for regular lifters but you lifting huge

Well its back to the grind. Got 11.5 months to prepare for Nationals in 2026. Hoping to increase my lifts by an average of around 25%. Haven't decided if I will go in at 220 or the 240 class. Will see how it goes this fall when I do a nice cycle with Test,Deca, and Dbol. If I can gain a fair amount of muscle I will just go for the 240 class so I dont have to diet down and lose a bunch before the comp. I want to be as strong as possible for my first Nationals. I want to make a statement that an old guy can be in the top 3 in the open class at an elite level. Bench felt hard today as it should a week after comp. Will most likely stay with the same weight on comp bench and adjust weights and reps on the other stuff for now. Need to perfect the form. Ok everyone have a strong week ahead and get Strong AF!!!

First heavy day back into deadlifts. Tore the same calus I tore at the meet 10 days ago. Oh well. At least it happened on my last set so I didnt miss anything. Lower back sore so only did one set of bent over rows. Ok everyone get Strong AF!!!
