on a different note the last two bottles of ES I got in have a different smell/formula - which caused a reaction on my face when I used it there - so I'm a little annoyed I can't use it like have been for the past couple of years!

the formula has not changed recently. The scent may vary slightly depending on the crop of peppermint (from which the japanese pepperment oil is distilled). though any difference in the peppermint oil should not caused a reaction.
