1. Depending on where you are at running...... make a goal to be able to run for a certain amount of time at a certain rate or distance. HITTS 2x a week helped me accomplish this fast!!!!

2. Pull ups

3. no alcohol till b-day

that is all I can think of right now... .hope it helps a bit.

1. That's perfect! I wonder if 3 miles in 30 minutes is more than I can handle. I do want an obtainable goal after all. :lmao: I'm writing this one down.

2. hmmm.. I guess my goal could be to be able to do ONE pull up. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Actually, I think you may be on to something here. I'm writing this one down, too. ;)

3. Too late for this one. I've already planned to go on a tour of the Woodford Reserve distillery next weekend with a bunch of buddies. lol! I can tone it down, though!

Thank you so much for all of your suggestions!

I tried a pullup today (outside grip) and I only got halfway up... twice. :lmao: I'm going to try to do one each day until I get there! hehe

As for #3, I've been doing much better with that. Hubby and I used to drink every day, at least splitting a six pack, and we'd get shitfaced a couple times a week. (It's pretty obvious if ya see my beer gut in the "before" pics. :lmao:  ) So I'm just gonna keep on cuttin' it down. Baby steps, baby steps. ;) You're right. I CAN do it!!! Thanks for being so encouraging.

I wish I could just say "be X% BF by then" but I don't have a way to get that read. Hmmm.. maybe I'll set a running goal. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears. I think setting a goal would be a good burfday present for myself. ;)

Good job on the pullup!! I still can't do one........

I am SO with you on the 2nd paragraph - my husband & I used to go thru at least 1 case of beer on the weekends!! I think it becomes a habit for one thing......so you just need to get used to not having it.....

Now when I do drink - I savor it & really taste it instead of guzzling it down.....or I make it a special occasion....

Try serving up some cranberry/raspberry/red Crystal Light & serve it up in a Cosmo glass or highball glass like a drink.....no reason you can't enjoy a pretty SF drink!!

I just thought of a movie line - "Fat drunk & stupid is no way to go thru life, son!" (from Animal House) :FRlol:

You and your hubby sound just like us! On the weekends we'd go through at least an 18 pack a night. :worried: This past month I have realized that I DO enjoy drinking, but anything more than several just makes me full and hungover the next day. It just isn't worth it, especially as often as we were doing it!

I love that quote! I think I should repeat that to myself daily. :lmao:

Well, try asking yourself *why* you are drinking....might help to give that a little thought, if you want to change the behavior....

PM me if you ever want to chat...
