Wife's voice?????

My wife got caught in the squeaky, raspy stage in her voice (post #34)

She HATES it. Has even thought about going through with some more test to get past it. Good or bad idea?

Would andro gel at 5mg a day do it, with minimal other sides. Such as HAIR which she had a slight problem with. Once the hair is there it is there. I understand that. But IF she went back on would it pick up where she left off and get worse? Or is it is just what it is???

from my experience the voice has returned to normal when the AAS is discontinued...my experience with women has been with light dosages tho....even test cyp @ 25 mgs per week.....the girls have had voice changes but nothing permanent....however, as you well know, this is not always the case.....I cannot answer your question directly.....big decision however, gamble????

How long has she been off cycle? My husband notices a slight change in my voice when I was on prop 50mg/wk. We stopped for a week and my voice went back to normal...continued the rest of my cycle for 2 weeks and it was fine.

As for the hair...what has grown won't go away, but it will grow slower off cycle than when on. If she goes back on she may continue to develop some more.

she has been off for a couple months. she just hates the state her voice is in now. She sayd she would be happioer if it were just evened out either way. She knows it wont go back to normal. It still is not low.. just like she has a cold all the time. raspy.

Hmm...I don't know if going back on will make it change in a better way...anyone else have a clue?

Raspy sounds better to me than a deep masculine voice. I would give it a long time to recover. JMHO

Voice is one of the first indicators to bail, and *might* come back in 6-8 months, but very unlikely.

The raspyness will probably even out, but whenever there is any congestion it will sound hoarse and deeper quicker than before.

At best, expect a 'breathy-er' (yeah, I made that up) version of her prior voice, perhaps slightly deeper, that will crack like an adolescent males occasionally.

Sorry, but thats the way I have seen it usually work.

I experienced the voice thing as well .. I wouldn't go on anything to help change it .. it may make it worse .. I noticed that when I've been off for awhile it tapers .. but it's always there .. just more noticeable at times than others.

May have been some permanent thickening of the vocal cords. More test would likely push it into a deeper, more stable and less raspy state. Probably is no going back at this point.
