Why so much water??

Hi all. Could someone explain to me the need and benefits for 1+ gallon (s) of water per day. I drink abour 3/4 gallon but I have to pee like every 15 minutes...seriously. Do I really need to drink more?
 
Well, your body is made of (pardon me if I'm wrong) 90% water. AT LEAST 1 gallon of water a day to function properly.
 
proper hydration. there is an adaptive period when increasing water intake, your "bathroom" schedule should normalize.

most people are chronically dehydrated.

hydration increases metabolism, energy, improves skin, removes harmful toxins, improves organ function, etc,etc,etc..

generally reccomend 1 gal per 50kg of bodyweight.


as a note increased protein, neccesitates increased water intake-

Macro -- what does 50kg equate to in pounds??
 
1 kg = 2.2 lb

Also reasons for water:

- keep you hydrated
- help flush out byproducts / waste from body functions, such as metabolizing food.
- good for skin
- helps to flush out other processed stuff like diet coke
- cheaper than diet coke
- better for you than diet coke
- helps to wash down those awesome supps from AF Store
- no calories
- something to consume if you are getting the munchies
 
OK i get it... :rainbow: I am drinking some as I type. I weigh 136 so I guess I will need to double what I have been...grrrr :worried:

I'm currently using my bodymass in lb as my # of ounces /day. E.g. I weight 148, so I'm drinking 148 oz of water.

I noticed since my water intake has stayed level and above a gallon a day my skin has a much better glow.. and not dry at all. Lovin' it
