Why do some homeless folks stay all bundled up in the summer? How can they stand it?

I was talking to a friend of mine a couple of days ago and she was telling me about all the homeless people that congregated around the building where she worked. Somehow this question came up, and when I think about it, it really is kind of wild. I mean, maybe they wear the stuff because they don't want to lose it, but clothes aren't that hard to come by and it would definitely seem to be a worthy sacrifice to avoid the misery and possible heat stroke.

What gives here?

lmao...I was just thinking this a couple days ago as I was sweating my ass off with a t and shorts on.

Are you an AZ native?

I see a lot of the Mexicans and migrant workers who dress the same way.... they tell me that once you build up a good sweat beneath your clothes it acts as a cooling mechanism.... also keeps you out of direct contact with the sun. They think we are idiots for wearing shorts and tank tops.
