Well.. after sitting down and evaluating my pics, and my upcoming events next year I've laid any more comps that I contemplated to rest.

I have to add some major upperbody muscle If I intend to pull off this BB comp early next year. I've always wanted to do one... Only one to close that chapter in my life so I need to start preparing for it.

I lost alot of upper body muscle cutting and then even more dieting harder to bring down my legs.

I figured that if I try to cut for a November show and then Do another in Late May early June it just wouldn't be enough time inbetween growth and then cutting again. I can't burn to ends of the candle.

So now its all about Strength and growth. I'm gonna be doing a modified Powerlifting/Strength program along with a good clean diet but higher cals and carbs right after Vacation Early Sept.

My body is responding great already to the training, and maintence diet I'm on. I figure last year just to prepare for figure i added 10+ extra lbs and then when I shed the fat I was still to small on the upper half. Alot of that due to the lack of training for an extended period of time after my elbow surgery. I was able to train my legs, which just totally blew my upper body away. I hadn't contemplated Figure at that point so I wasn't worried about it. But when I decided to do a show I knew it would be hell on me to come in proportionate.. and I was right.

now i figure I need to add anywhere between 10-20lbs to my weight now. (YIKES.. REALLY NOT LIKING THIS) and then when I cut just pray I hold on to more muscle.

Wish me luck ;)

Pardon my carb-depleted-mush-brain, but no more shows this year?? Then BB next spring??

Whatever you do, good luck in your training!! Can't wait to see your progress!!

Yes Jens.. :)

I had a show planned for November but that would mean right into cutting NOW and then I'd have only between November and Jan to put on weight and then right back into cutting. Just not enough time.

I did my three shows this year, so i can't allow myself to be too greedy... time to put on some muscle baby!

I can't go into BB at the size I am now. I'm just not comfortable with the lack of muscle.

I'll have two more months after this BB show to cut further for Figure comps that I plan on doing next year.

Awesome plan girl! I'm also glad to see that you are pacing yourself but also addressing YOUR personal goals. It is really easy to get caught up in the whole competition thing and then just burn out.

You'll do great no matter what!

I think your look perfect now, I can't imagine you with any improvements.

Good luck hun :)

With your hard work and dedication, you don't need luck...you have what it takes to kick ass ...plain and simple. I look forward to following your future accomplishments :rose:

I look at that damn back everyday and just *sigh* Sassypants. ;)

I have a golden opportunity to do this small show next year... Not expecting anything from it.. just to accomplish a goal that I set for myself and then carry along.

and i agree.. I just got so caught up in that Comp 'high' and I loved the feeling of the hardness and the tighness that pre comp brought me to... BUT I have to think realistically here..

Dat shit just can't happen year round for me. single mom, full time job... everything else combined with maintaining my mental state is just out of my league.. LOL.

So now that I've made up my mind and have a plan, i wake NOT feeling for those damn abs I had formed a relationship with.. LOL and tucked that lil ol scale away til next year :worried: ...

And by golly....... I MUST SAY..... It feels DAMN GOOD throwing some heavy weights around again ;)

I hear ya girl! Nuttin like the feeling of a full-on burn out set and the weight of the stack slamming down on that last rep.

GO HEAVY OR GO HOME! :qt:
