Upright rows

What muscles do upright rows work and is it ok to do them if your chest is still a bit sore.

Also is it ok to do deadlifts 2 days after squats even if your legs are still sore?
 
Upright rows target the side and front deltoids along with traps. On my split routine, I typically do them on the same day as chest because so many movements for chest also hit the front deltoids.

As for the soreness issue, I'd go ahead do the workout but wouldn't go heavy or do many sets. Your muscles need ample time to recover.
