UK Bench Press

Hi can any one give me any information on the UK bench press records and competitions. A guy down my gym just did 180Kg bench press and he wants to find out what sort of weights are used in competition and what the weight class there are.

Any information would be great.

How much does your friend weigh?

I would have no clue of what the records are there. But i can say your freinds bench is 395 or so. That is a good bench. But as far as breaking records over here it might take a state record in the 148lb class or 165lb. World record, far from it at those weights. BUt for just entering a local meet it is a good bench up to 220lbs. I wouldnt worry about it i would just lift and compete were your at and you will get a feel of what people there are doing.
