Training and pregnancy

Hello everyone! I am very happy, because I ampregnant and I am going to be a mother soon! I have been always veryactive in sports, and I want to keep on being so. How long you thinkI can keep training? Is there any general information about it?

A certain level of physical activity would be a good thing for you, especially if you are used to it. In fact, if you are so used to practicing sport, your body will stress more by not doing it, rather than by being active. Just keep in mind certain specifics of your pregnancy, and don't be overly active. You can do mild cardio like walking, and stuff like that. I would personally strongly disadvise you from lifting weights, as they will cause you to stress your abdominal muscles.

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor. He will know best what types of exercise are the best to keep both you and your baby healthy while pregnant.

It is very important to keep exercising while pregnant but there are certain exercises you should not do because they might effect your abdomen.

Congrats on being pregnant! Book an appointment with your doctor and I am sure he will be able to fully answer all your questions.

I would ask your doctor. I am sure there are things you can do but not nearly what you are used to doing being a very active person.
