This Work?

Nope. I am not an expert, and am still learning a lot, so I don't know the mechanics behind it fully. But I do know you will gain more strength from, say 5 sets of 5 reps, then with 3 sets of 12 reps.

Can any powerlifters help me out? Or anyone who is knowledgable about why this is? Needsize? B Fold? Spatts? Cornholio?
 
Well you also lowered the reps there, and thus to get a good pump you would use more weight. If you mean sets only then, well, 3 sets 12 reps would become 6 sets 12 reps for example.
 
like gettinlarger, i myself don't fully understand the mechanics behind it either, but i DO know (from experience) that lower reps, higher weight amounts to more strength than lifts in the higher rep range. i believe this also has some to do with time under tension? (right cornholio?) for example, you will get more (strengthwise) from a 5x5 program than a 3x12. like i said, i don't know for 100% sure why, but i can tell you that from my own personal experience.
