sorry, I thought this thread title would be appropriate for this subject.

I'm wondering who get's marks across their shoulders from the bar after squatting? It seems I get them regardless. I usually wear a big padded sweat shirt, along with the foam padding for the bar, but yet I still get massive marks across my shoulders, even with light weight. it's like it brakes all my blood vessels or something. It goes away within 3 or 4 days, but I'm wanting to know how I would prevent this from occurring> If any of you have found a away, or if any of you even experiences this. it has always happend after squats, just never really cared to prevent it.
you would think the foam cushing that goes around the bar would do something about this.
 
I always get a red line across my rear delts and traps from squatting. I never use a pad, because I have enough muscle to act as a cushion for heavy weight. I feel no pain.
 
i get long red lines on my traps and shoulders everytime i work my traps. dunno what its from but it doesnt hurt so i dont worry about it.

:lmao: yes, it doesn't hurt to have the bar resting across my shoulders. I use the cushion to prevent the red marks from being even worse than they get. the marks don't hurt, but i know it can't be too good on your skin. plus why would you want these marks of you can prevent them?
 
I did squats last night, and i was acutally examiniing my lines in the mirror. i get them across the back, BUT the wierdest thing is i get a verticalish line on the front of my delts. ... I dont know how this could happen! I mean, the bar doesn't really touch that area. Its wierd. And the one on the front of my delts connect to the one on my back.

I can't explain it.... well, maybe i was holding the bar higher than i usually do. I guess when i put my arms up, the shoulders come up tooo.

I dont know. Either way, its seems wierd when my arms are down.

i definatly get these two, but it doesnt hurt when i squat.

i was wondering this also, its kinda like a big long blood blister but eventually fades away until the next squat day
 
I get a little red from squats but it doesnt last long, what does last a long time (as in a couple days) is right across the top of my shoulders I get a line where the pads on the hack squat machine (what I use to do calf raises) press the seam of my shirt into my skin.
