I'm here... I'm back... for a limited time only... or something like that. :qt:

T-Cake's MEGA SUPER DUPER WITH A CHERRY ON TOP UPDATE

Alright, ladies -- so Ulter (my boyfriend) has pushed and pushed me (well, encouraged) me to come back to the boards. Now that my life is seemingly settling down just a LITTLE bit at work and I'm making it home earlier some days, I just might be able to post a little more often.

LOTS has happened. Let me get you all caught up on what's new since I posted wayyyyyy back in... oh... July? Haha! :p

1) Basic stats: I've exchanged 15 lbs of fat for 15 lbs of muscle. My weight in July was about 165 or so and I'd just reached the 100 lbs lost mark. I'm now about 160 lbs... but I have dropped 2 sizes. I'm now a size Medium shirt and a size 8 pants. My muscles are incredible (yes, I need new photos badly). I show my students my muscles and they are scared. :D It's hilarious.

2) My lifts: In one word, my lifts are just INSANE. Here is a rough list of what I am currently lifting. For all listed, I am lifting 3 sets of 10-15, depending on the move and if I'm working on transitioning to a higher weight.

Lower Body
I really had to cut back on this because my legs are so huge that I won't be proportional to my upper body when I'm done if I keep pushing it. I'm now lifting lower once every two weeks:
Isolated Leg Curls = 65# each leg
Isolated Leg Extension = 65# each leg
Good Mornings = Squat rack bar + 45#-50#
Dead Lifts = Squat rack back + 85#

Shoulders
Smith Shoulder Press = Smith machine + 35#, palms forward
Side Lateral Raises = 15# DBs, working on switching to 20#s
Upright Row = Squat rack bar + 25#
Bent Over DB Row on bench = 40# single DB

Chest and Back
DB Incline Bench Press = 30# DBs
Lat Pulldown = 105#
Seated Row = 97.5#
Pec Deck Fly = 67.5#

Triceps and Biceps
Bar Curl = 50# curl bar
French Curl = 40# Curl bar (working to 50#)
Straight DB Curl, standing = 25# DBs
Tricep Rope Pulldown (kneeling, taken to floor) = rope + 85# on "lighter" setting

Needless to say, I'm a lot stronger... my cuts are coming out everywhere... more people talk to me at the gym now more than ever... and it's just unbelieveable to me that I can do all this.

3) Cardio: Last time I wrote, I was walking 3 to 3.5 miles a day because my knees were a mess. Well those times are long gone.
- I now run 3.5 to 5 miles 6 mornings a week (yes, before work still, which means I'm up by 5 or 5:30am before school)
- I ran the Disney World Race for the Taste 10K (6.2 miles) a few weeks back; it took me an hour and I didn't stop at all.
- I'm running the SeaWorld 10K on November 19th
- I'm co-coach of the Running Club at school, so Tuesdays and Thursday I run AFTER school too. Usually this adds another 2 miles of running to my day, easily, and it's more scenic and/or cross-country
- I'm signed up to run/walk the WDW Half Marathon on January 6, 2007. It looks like I'll be walking a lot more than running (keep reading) but that's okay. My endurance is incredible.
- Running is GREAT for me -- I can go and go and go... BUT... when my knees ache at all, I have to rest them and walk for a few minutes. That's ok with me... it heals pretty quick. I row at the gym for 10 minutes before I run in the mornings (when I do run indoors) to loosen up my knees and hips, so that really helps.

4) The bigger news (no pun intended) is that I'm scheduled for BREAST IMPLANTS on November 20th! Ahhh! I turn 27 on the 16th, and I'm just going to take that week off of work to have it done and recover.
- I'm having 400 ccs saline implants put under the muscle.
- Yes, I'm scared because I don't like pain... but I'm REALLY excited because I got the sizers last week and can't wait to look like a girl again!
- And for those of you that know me, you know this was NOT in my game plan! I knew that with a 110 lb weight loss I'd need surgery for extra skin on my stomach. When I had THAt consult in July, I was a B cup (down for a full 38C in February). I am now a 34A... IF that!! I can't wait to have my chest back! Talk about having femininity taken from me!
- But hear me on this -- if you are a woman who gets stuck on choices between "Should I bulk and have muscle and risk losing my boobs... or should I NOT get muscle and keep the boobs?" -- GO FOR THE MUSCLE!!! The outer strength is far more worth it and impressive and self-fulfilling than some sacks of fat. Trust me on this.
- Anyway, yes yes... excited for new boobies. :) Hooray! :) New toys!

5) Florida is good. No, my mom and I still don't talk much. Yes, I'm still in counseling to sort all that out with her, and I wrote her a letter a month ago about how she hurts me when we talk to each other. I never heard back from her about that... so she's just stewing in her misery, I guess. Anyway, no regrets in leaving Michigan -- my job is rough as hell some days, but it's still a major upgrade from where I was.

I made new friends real easily and have a social circle anytime I like. Ulter and I are still incredibly happy; he's just such a blessing to me and my life. Such a partner for me; I just get happy thinking about it and all the fun we have.

I FINALLY got into my own apartment and got new, beautiful furniture. It took FOREVER to get done, but it did. I'm not even home that much now -- but it's nice to know I established my own place and my own life.

 So I think that about does it. :D I need new pictures, I know. The last ones I took were from... oh, about 6 weeks ago. And you wouldn't BELIEVE the major differences since then. My body just gave up the fight about a month ago and finally started shedding fat like crazy. It's been a sight to see... so even though I don't have new pics all the time, trust me -- there are MAJOR differences. I can't believe this is MY body with the butt that looks like a butt, the tinier waist, killer legs in a denim miniskirt, and crazy mammoth arms. :) It's fun -- I'll show you soon.

Much love to all.
:D T-Cake

I still think of you everytime I see a Panera and I've also become a daily subscriber of the Hungrygirl emails now.

I would love to see pics at some point, but I hope you feel proud of all your accomplishments every single time you look in that mirror.

Thanks ladies for all the nice compliments. I was telling Ulter last night, "Oh come on, they'll barely remember me!" :)

Anyway, like I said, I am hangin' in there. Woke up this morning for work later than usual, so I missed my morning cardio. I ususally take Wed. mornings off, but today was my day off instead. Oh well -- no biggie. We have running club after school today so I'll make it up.

I just finished my lunch of two FlatOut turkey taco sandwiches. :) Yum-yum! I just used some leftover turkey meat that cooked on the weekend and made roll-up sandwiches with FlatOut light bread (it's low carb, high protien, so I love it).

In my lean ground turkey, I mixed one packet of taco seasoning, 1 package of sauteed mushrooms, 1/2 sauteed sliced red onion and about 1 cup of tequila lime salsa from the grocery store. Super good and made a TON.

I also discovered that the BEST brand of fat free cottage cheese is Light n' Lively. That stuff is AWESOME!!! Huge protein punch without the milk fat and it doesn't taste disgusting like the other ff ones do.

Ok now I'm just rambling. :D

I am a little worried about running after surgey -- just putting those sizers in gave me a feel for how freakin' heavey those suckers are. I don't remember my REAL ones (back when I was a C cup) being that heavy... but then again, ALL of me was heavy too, so it went unnoticed.

I am SO scared of the pain! :worried: And I think I'm actually more sad/scared of the toll my lack of lifting will have on my body more so than my lack of running.

The running has DEFINITELY been the key to my sudden melting fat, Ulter and I agree on that. But something that totally change things for me too -- and I forgot to say this yesterday -- is that now I don't eat for two hours after cardio. Water only... so those 2 hours in the morning after I run are a little rough. When my stomach gets annoyed, I sometimes have a diet 7-up on the way to work or something just to settle it and shut it up. :) But I make it til 9am and then drink my ISO shake. I think THIS -- just as much as the running -- has been the key that finally is taking the fat off of me.

20 lbs to go! Ahhhh! :p That sounds like a LOT!!! *sigh*

If it works for you , milk it until it stops! That's for sure. Well Post Op youre going to have to really enjoy the new additions AND pay attention to your body. The one thing you will be able to do is cardio, just not heavy lifting, but remember muscle memory WILL come into play and you WILL be able to lift heavy again, just not right away.

My take is this, You will lose some strength & muscle Im sure, how much? That is up to you & what you're taking (if anything) to preserve it, how you are eating and keeping a close eye on the diet.

And just double jog bra those babies for awhile......I had to do that when I was breast feeding lol
