switching? : CKD to 40/30/30 cutting

I've looked into 40/30/30 and 50/30/20 diets for cutting and did find a few guidelines. Just to make sure I didnt miss anything, I'm asking for some more pointers. Another thing to keep in mind is this is the 9th wk of my ckd and was just thinking about trying a different diet for the rest of my cutting period.
Don't get me wrong, I've had great results on the CKD and have enjoyed it.

I'm 176 lbs and about 13% bf or so. Abs are faint so it may be a little lower. Would like to get down below 10% before I start adding muscle again in late summer or fall.

The only reason I'm thinking about changing from ckd is mostly due to boredom. So really, I could stick with that diet easily if I had to. Especially since I'm still seeing good results.

I would use bw x 10-12 (maybe cycling up and down.) Low gi carbs and then high gi carbs after workout of course. No carbs after 2pm except b4 and after workout. (workout between 4 - 6pm for about an hour or so. Also 30 min cardio 5x wk).

Also, I've read that some people on a 40/30/30 (or similar) cutting diets have carb ups. Is this necessary even though it is a non-keto type diet?

If there are any other guidelines I should adhere to, or anything I might should consider or change, please let me know.
Thanks again!:D

I think it looks good

I know guys on 40/30/20 (there abouts anyway) that are low in bodyfat

I am a kick/thai boxer really and we're touted to eating really high carb diets (60/20/20) and although i don't buy into that super high carb diet, there are guys in the gym that are quite cut up on it but i guess cardio has alot to do with it as well as genetics

Cool.

Yea......an older buddy of mine is in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame and he's about 5-8% bf. He eats just about anything.

Yes, if your restricting calories, it is in my opinion that your metabolism and sanity would benefit from a couple of cheat meals per week.

Toozee,
I have also come off of a restrictive low/no carb diet that I was on for the last year and I have found coming off very difficult. Whenever I have one little bowl of oats or something it sends me on a carb frenzy. Let us know how this is working for you and how your feeling. I am trying to start eating a 50/20/30 myself but have not been very successful adhering to it as of yet.

Thanks Hansel,

I'll let you know how it goes after I switch. I'll probably stick to the ckd for a little while longer. After I stock the fridge with new food and get this new diet going, I'll post up.
