Training:
OFF…wasn’t a planned day off, had to go into work on an emergency once again…and was lazy!
Nutrition:
*Back on IF (Intermittent Fasting 16/8)
1:30 PM: 15 egg whites/2 whole eggs, 1 packet Apple Cinnamon Organic Instant Oatmeal, 2-3 tbsp.
Natural Organic Peanut Butter, 1 Ezekiel Muffin, 1 apple.
4:30 PM: 2 cans Albacore Tuna, 2 Blue Corn/Flax Tortillas, 4 tbsp. Corn Chili, 2 tbsp. Wasabi Mayo
6:30 PM: 2 cups Chili (Amy’s Chili, Grass-fed Ground Round, and Black Beans)
9:30 PM: 3 scoops N2 Bulk, 1 scoop N2 Matrix Casein protein, 2 cups Almond Milk
Mood/Feeling:
Today I was in a funk. Just didn’t feel any drive or desire to do much at all. I am once again on-call for work and was called into work on an emergency call so spent some hours at work. The rest of the day my little girl and I hung out, she is my sunshine on my grey days. My wife was at work today, so wasn’t going to be able to get into the gym until she got home anyway. We made food, ate, hung out for a bit and by that time I got the call for work. I really have no excuses except for just being lazy today and not going to the gym like I needed to, but taking it as a day to rest. I do need to be eating more, although I seem to be up about 8-9 pounds, I can already see that I am not taking in enough calories daily. Going to map out this week’s meals and make a better effort to eat what I need to be. Also I am not on-call for work this week, or scheduled to work any overtime so nothing foreseen to get in the way of my training. I will hit the gym tomorrow no excuses.
On another note, my damn right quad is still jacked up from my injection on Tuesday. I must have hit a nerve because I started feeling some pain in my hip and knee where the nerve is in those locations. I have iced it, heated it, Ibuprophen, all the above and still tight as heck, guess I need more practice on hitting the quads. Any suggestions or tricks? Thought I hit it right where it needed to be, WRONG!!!
