Steroids Are Pointless! Is this somewhat Accurate?

None (from what I have read on this board, from what I have seen with my own eyes with respect to friends and such, and then to use pro bbuilders as an example as well) give permanent results. People get on, get what they want, then lose it, sounds like a waste. I have read the same on here. Also, take Dorian Yates for example, the man at the present time looks like complete shit. Please keep in mind that my standards may be different than yours as well. I have always contemplated using but as of yesterday decided that it will never occur. Seems pointless, unless and I emphasize unless here, unless you are attempting to compete at a National level with intent on turning pro. Or maybe, you personally just like the feeling, the strength, the size, etc. Being blessed by the Most High, and having incorporated a proper diet, training and having this game down to a science for me has already given me the strength, size, shape, density and muscle maturity that many are aspiring to achieve. That is one reason why I ask this I guess because I cannot relate. Gentleman, what are your thoughts? Are they pointless when all is said and done, to an extent? Be honest. peace

Im stronger after a couple cycles than I was prior, larger too and I have not lost it. If your use AAS to take yourself beyond what your body can maintain without AAS, then yes, of course you will lose what you gained if you stop. However, if you use it to take you to that transition point you should be fine. You also have to take into account many losses in mass and strength come to the injuries and sickness that is unavoidable in life. Tossing the iron is a lifestyle, not path from point A to point B.

I have to agree w/you Zyg. I've been in the game for a many years and just recently had to stop cycling because my wife and I want to start a family. I've been off for about 9 months now and I'm not going to lie, I did lose some size and very little stength and God only knows how bad I want to start another cycle! But if it wasn't for aas I truely beleive that I would have NEVER reached the point I'm at now! Even w/the little size I did lose I am still very happy w/my body/size/strength and to tell u the truth I am very surprised the I have not lost more in the 9 months of down time. Actually, I've lost more from injuries while training.

You gain then lose.

The way I see it, cycling like taking 2 steps forward and one step back. At the end I'm bigger than when I started. Regardless, the progress is always forward.

I have been off for quite a while. Yes, I have lost some muscle definition, but I maintain my size and most of my strength. I too thank gear for making me, in the eyes of my peirs, a " big guy ". I left college a skinny, lanky guy. Since I have been cycling, my confidence has grown.

Remeber, for all the new size you gain, you have to eat right to maintain it. If you eat the same way you were when you were skinny, you will lose your size.

i couldn't disagree more..... for those who know how to use aas properly there is great benefit.

Yes but muscle memory is unreal...Gear can bring one to a new level...Even if one stops and loses 80% of gains. The muscle memory is always there just waiting.
