Steroids Are Pointless! Is this somewhat Accurate?

What everyone is saying about "continuing" thier diet and workouts properly, as if they were still on ... then a good amount of gains can be kept. Keep your diet clean, eat like an animal, and still train with that same intensity at the gym.. just an example.. my uncle stopped juicing for a long time now... he was an ameture BB and he still has kept a good amount of gains... becuase of his diet, and workouts are still done properly.

Good post Wombat. Easy with the chicken leg comment. Some of us just do not have the genetics for BIG legs especially in the calf area. :(

Trust me---if my legs were wheels, they would have been made by firestone and recalled a long time ago :) But its a work in progress...

whats wrong with taking a hormone replacement(thats all it really is) and women use female hormones like there is no tomorrow.

ok.. i don't think tren, dbol, drol, winny, actually.. probably pretty much everything except test and hgh can be considered a "hormone replacement".. but the hormone replacement view is a very convincing viewpoint indeed...

so that's that then.. test and hgh it is for the rest of my life...

btw.. i was gifted with legs.. i don't have to work them at all.. got the teardrop and all.. good striations.. good cuts in the calves.. which are big.. and i never.. NEVER.. work them..

just wanted to point out that just cuz someone doesn't squat or work legs it doesn't mean that they don't know what they're doing.. (and to kinda make ya jealous :D)

Havoc is right.

But using this logic, working out is pointless. Gains from working out are NOT permanent unless you continue to do it. (A lot like steroids huh?)

If you know what you're doing (which takes a lot of research) you can keep most of your gains. But I agree with you about Yates... I never liked his body, even when he was Mr. O year after year.

He always looked to me like a big, badly-proportioned, ugly monster -- not a look I covet.

Set Yates next to Flex Wheeler, for example, and it's obvious that he has SIZE but not much else.

If you never, never worked legs then you wouldn't know what you were doing when training them would you? And when I say I have small legs, thats just me being modest. 245 pounds at 10% have to some kind of wheels :)

I hear what some of you fellas were saying about "I guess anything is pointless", but I disagree. Reasoning for my disagreement stems from my personal faith. And that has not one thing to do with death or the "crutch" theme many tend to place on people who have whatever faith they practice. I believe your purpose on this earth is to experience and to be mindful of others, that is not pointless in my opinion. But then, the same arguement could be used for Gear use as well. Whats that mean, means its time for a nap. Good night and peace

Havoc,

It is far too simple to just say that with steroids you either "keep your gains" or you "lose them."

It is all a very individual thing...for example, I am about to start a second cycle, a very light one consisting of anavar, creatine and large amounts of alpha lipoic acid. I fully expect to keep all the mass I gain off of this cycle, and even if I were to never cycle again, I would continue to make progress beyond my post cycle condition in all areas, maturity, density, size and shape.

Now there may be a point you would reach if you were to use high dosages over a long period of time that of course you certainly could not maintain naturally, but even then because you had used for so long you would have achieved PERMANENT increases in your so-called genetic limit...and I don't believe in such a thing either...

If I were you Havoc, I would not even think about AAS in your situation, simply because you can still say you are that size and natural which is very impressive...however, keep your mind open and remember that there are many here that have no clue about diet, training and their bodies and therefore cannot hang without drugs, which is their fault, not the drugs....

Remember, steroids simply increase the rate at which the body builds muscle...it is up to you whether you keep it or not.

until you quit cycling.. then you lose it all..

THIS STATEMENT IS TOTALLY WRONG...if you lose it all,as you state, then you are not training/dieting/recuperating correctly.peeps lose their gains, because their diet/training is suffering in one way or another.what we must remember is that juice is an aid to "help" you get to the next level...taking into consideration that training & diet are CONSISTENT whether on or off...---fyi
