Now, im a newbie lifter 8 months now... i've been doing squats just for 2 months.
I hear constantly about squats being bad for the back myth. I think with proper form the back will be fine.
Heres my problem:
After reading the long thread "Squat Theory and Execution" i may have missed a part.
Today only doing 215lbs on the squat rack (not even 4 sets deep) my back gave problems. (big pains in the lower back)
Now my legs and knees are fine, not even close to being tired yet. I'm POSITIVE i can max out well over 215lb but my back is the problem.
What im LOOKING for is tips to help keep the back from rounding or to alieviate lower back pain. In "Squat Theory and Execution" it explains what causes this but perhaps i missed the part on how to keep the back straight. Just need some tips.
Thanks in Advance
