Spring Cutting Cycle

i start cutting march 1st....i'm ready, i think. :)

the month of march, i'll change my diet - no sugar, no alcohol, very little carbs. i'll try to keep it at 1500 calories a day. i'll still lift heavy and do very little cardio.

in april, i'll add in cardio 3 days/week - still keeping my diet clean. NO cheat days (except for my birthday, in which i'll allow myself one piece of cake). i'll keep cardio HIIT.

in may, i'm thinking about trying thermorexin...seems like lots of people have had good results with this. if the fat loss starts to plateau, i may up the cardio and take the calories down to 1200, but we'll see how things go. i slimmed down really nice last spring using this approach.

hopefully, my sanity will survive only one cheat day in 3 months!

One cheat day in 3 months! Thats dedication. I have to have 1 cheat day (I don't cheat the whole day, but I have 1 meal and 1 regular soda.) or I looooose it. Buuuut, summer is on its way, and I do feel like an oinker hearing that you don't cheat....maybe I'll think about limiting my cheats!

Well, I can't say I have that sort of dedication...I lack the motivation of competition. I've just been taking Xenadrine EFX (sometimes I forget the afternoon dose), and I've been trying to control my sweettooth (with moderate success), as well as making sure that the carbs I do eat are complex ones that give me more than just sugars. And I've been moderating my portions, even of the good foods.

I never drink soda (except the occasional diet coke), so that makes it a little easier. Right now the biggest temptation is King Cake. We've got a cinnamon-sugar one from one of the best bakeries in town. (For those of you who don't know, they're a Carnival-season tradition...a yeast dough filled with a variety of yummies, in a ring-shaped cake...covered with white icing and yellow, purple & green sugars...the one we've got now is like a cross between a cinnamon roll and a birthday cake, two of my favorite sweets.)

It doesn't help that Maj is perpetually bulking, and then there are the two small kids in the house, who deserve to have King Cake at Carnival season...and all those other seasonal goodies around the wheel of the year...

I think I'll at least be able to get into a shape that won't make me wanna hurl when I go bathing-suit shopping. What is it with those lights and mirrors, anyway? Don't you think they'd sell more suits if they tried to make them a weensie bit more flattering?

I know. I think they'd sell more if they put those Carnival-type mirrors in the dressing rooms...the ones that totally distort your image! Good luck w/your spring cutting.

I only have the dedication because I have to - if I alow myself one cheat meal, it will turn into a cheat day, then a cheat week, etc. etc. I have to go all or nothing. Drastic, yes, but it's the only thing that works for me.

Plus, I'm a bad bulker...I eat everything and anything in sight. I just can't do a clean bulk. So, to make up for it, I have to have a super clean cut.

Nobody should feel BAD for needing a cheat day. "Cheat Days" are simply refeed days - helps the body keep from adapting to your diet. Everyone has different needs, everybody is different. I can't go 3 months with cheating either - that doesn't mean I lack dedication. We all have different needs, drive and motivation. Doesn't mean one is better than the other.

No it doesn't, but I do understand where shak is coming from. There are some weeks I feel sooo good about my gains in the gym that I don't even want to cheat, but I do anyway (I only cheat on saturday evening) because I know that come wednesday or thursday I'll be dying!

Been cutting for the past 7 weeks w/ no cheats. No sweets, alcohol, staying between 75-100 grams of carbs pd. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through as I have a hugh appetite in being in an Italian family.

Weight has dropped from 173lbs at 12% to 147lbs at 5%. Currently eating 4 meals p/d w/ no aas.
Gonna up my meal and protein uptake to 6 meals a day w/ little carbs and start my primo/var/test cycle in 4-6 weeks. Spring cutter. I need to sstart putting on size I'm really wasting away.

For cutting, I'm going to seriously try to get my diet in check and train hard. Lots and lots of protein. I may even try a fat burner sometime in April.
