Soreness

patro

New member
My shoulders and traps are sore from a few days ago, and today's workout, which is new for me, calls for chinups, lat pulldowns, pullups, dumbell rows and seated cable rows.

I'm really looking forward to this workout, but I'm worried I souldn't do it with sore delts and traps.

Should I wait till my soreness clears up, or shouldn't these muscles conflict?

DO NOT train a sore muscle.

It is counterproductive.

I'd take the day off and do legs

OK. Thanks. I'll do something else today...but what happens if you do train sore muscles? Injury/get weaker?

You're stressing an already damaged muscle. There's no need to put more stress on it, since it's still trying to repair itself and grow. The idea behind lifting is to stimulate a muscle; if it's still sore, it's not done growing from last time. :D
