After doing deadlifts, I have a semi-sore lower back...

I don't feel it in my arms or anything, is this right? Could there be something wrong with my form?

Thats where you are supposed to feel it as long as it is muscular. Your arms arn't gonna feel shit from deads. Lower and upper back , traps and legs.

Your forearms might feel it slightly but that's about it.

The only thing that's every sore (for me) after deadlifts is my lower and upper back.

Many people mistake a sore lower back for bad form or having a "bad back" or that their back just can't take doing deadlifts. Think about it..you do the flat bench press and your chest gets sore...you do squats and your legs and back get sore, you do deadlifts and your lower back gets sore.

People are not used to having a sore lower back...just keep pulling and strengthening it.

I've got the same thing working on me. We just started deads and my back is sore. Not a bad sore just an uncomfortable sore. I was sweatin it at first but then realized what the other guys have been saying, that it is supposed to be a little sore. But still, it's good to know and to be reinforced that it's okay to have a muscular sore back

Just think...as you strengthen your back and spine...you will have less of a chance of "throwing it out" when you get older.

There is a difference between your lower back being sore or tight...and it being hurt. I have hurt my lower back before...and I can always tell a difference between the two. Even though my lower back can be sore for 2 or more days...it is not hurt like it was before.

My deadlifts yesterday shot my lower back...it's really tight and sore today...almost made me sick earlier...it will go away, though...and then I will make it sore again next week!

gotta love a girl that deadlifts.

im with nightfly on this....... i hurt my back about 4 years ago....... made me not squat for quite some time.

"BAD PAIN":.......... stabbing through the bone, cripple over in the floor, make you wanna squeal like a little girl"

"GOOD PAIN";......... i need to sit down my lower back just cramped, i can hardly stand up because there is some much stiffness in my back, i cant belive its time to already deadlift again kinda pain.

Got it?........... good
