Saturday the gym had a powerlifting meet.
Saw some crazy lifts.
Mad respect for powerlifters.
I got in a great stretch. I got on a lot of machines with zero or minimal weight. Just used the weight to help stretch the shoulder.
Sunday was leg day. Felt good. And actually making progress on my chicken legs.
No breakfast or food before gym. Lunch was a salad with chicken and half avacado.
Burgers at home for dinner.
Gonna lay around. Ice shoulder and watch football
Funny story I watched football for years and got burnt out. Stopped watching for about ten years.I didn't know you were a football fan who is your team
i do stretches and mobility work now. Then mix in ice and heat.make sure you work on your mobility in that shoulder and stretch it out

Now I love it more. Now I don’t have team. So I don’t have to schedule my life around a teams schedule. I don’t get butt hurt when my team sucks. Now I can watch football and enjoy it for the game. There are a lot of amazing players on different teams. I now give more respect to players and the game.
I am always happy watching ball now.

Breakfast as ok 2 whole eggs. 2 egg whites and 4 turkey sausage.
Blew lunch . Went and voted with wife then had lunch together. Rarely happens. Had a burger and wrinkle fries. We shared small fry.
Dinner I was going to start a fast and sit in the sauna. Nope , got the call I had to take dinner to my 93 year old parents.
We had a chopped salad and thin crust bbq chicken pizza.
Can’t kick my self so I’ll just get back on it tomorrow.
On a good note I am able to doo small circles at 90 degree out to the side. Front raise is about 80 percent of max.
Still feels stiff and a bit sore but at 5 weeks post op. I feel great.

Then draw 1 iu.
Does that sound correct dosage ?

Saw Dr Monday. He was amazed at my range of motion. Still can’t raise my hand behind my back. I only get to about even with my belt. Still no weights. But we added some new stretches.
I have manageable pain. I feel great all things considered.
My right knee is screaming at my shoulder to get better fast. Leg have never been worked this hard. Legs 3 days a week is rough on that old knee.

Today I am low on food

@Slyderkt I see so you were bulking at that point broI have some bone broth and have been working it it.
This is different eating style now.
When I had surgery I was in a bulk. That’s a funny term for me. My normal weight is 185-190. In a bulk I can’t get past 210. But I still eat healthy and not a dirty bulk. I still end up thicker in the middle and face.
So now I’m trying to get of this extra fat and eat well enough to heal well. I need to drop 20 pounds by Christmas. I’m going on a cruise some where warm and with beachs

Only a couple plate machines. Some I can load and unload with one arm. Only one machine I can load but not unload. I do it with my coach and helps me.

4. Abductor machine. 4 sets , 20 reps 90-120 lbs
5. Laying leg curls 4 set 20 reps 45lbs
6. Standing leg curl single leg. 4 set 12 reps 35-45lbs
7. Leg press single leg machine. 4 set 12 reps 135 - 210 lbs
8. Standing pendulum leg kick back. 4 sets 12 reps single leg 90-115 lbs

Went to PT did all the stretch stuff, arm bicycle, they stretched me out, gave massage then ice. 1 1/2 hour. Felt great afterwards. This morning a little sore but still feel great.

@Slyderkt im all in for PT for sure, helps the rangeWent to PT on Friday. Doing great. Even PT wants to start resistance / isometric training cause we fell ready.
But Dr says 12 week post op. It’s only been 8 weeks. He is waiting on better attachment.
I see him dec 16. I am sure he will let them loose.
In meantime doing great with range of motion. Only thing lacking is reaching up behind my back. Finally got right hand and left hand the same. Now need to improve both.
Guys, if you have surgery. GO To PT. It is boring and not active. But it helps way more than you think. Check the ego at the door. They will have you do stupid little things that you WILL NOT do at home!
Massage and ice at end of PT is my favorite.
It hurts and I love it. They have been able to rub out the knots and pain of new bi cep tendon attachment.
Yesterday in gym was crazy. Was trying new things with zero or minimal weight. Checked out bicep, back and tricep movements.
After an hour I had to leave weight room and hit the sauna. I was feeling to good in weight room. Scared I would hurt my self. So stopped.

I finally broke down and had Dr write a script.
We are trying Trazadone. Falling asleep is easy for me. Staying asleep is the problem. So far meds are helping me stay asleep. I have always dreamed a lot. My brain never shuts off. But on the meds the dreams are wild. Never scary just weird stuff.
@Slyderkt hope your mom is fine broLast Wednesday I was at my mom’s house. 93 but still try’s to get around. She started to fall and I jumped up just in time to catch her and break her fall . She was fine. But the shoulder took a lot of the pressure. It hurt pretty good. I am hoping it didn’t tear again.
I took it easy over the weekend. Went to Memphis to watch my daughter run the St Jude marathon.
I think it’s going to be alright. Time will tell.
I am just past 10 weeks post OP. Starting resistance training tomorrow.

9. Side delt raise 2lb 3 set 10 ( ouch)
9. Ab work all body weight.
10. 30 minute In dry sauna
