Shoulders & Triceps

Standing Military Press - 200 - 3X5*
Seated Raises - 30 - 10X2

Close Grip Bench - 295 - 5X5

Clean And Press - 135 - 5X2

* The exercise begins as a clean and then a press. I brought the barbell down to my upper chest this week as opposed to my chin. There was a difference. :)

Close grip bench was a battle in the 4th and 5th set. The heavy standing presses took more out of me than I was willing to accept.

The cleans at the end are explosive.

The workout lasted 40 minutes. No cardio. Stretching between sets. Can't wait for legs :)
 
Dude, I am completely impressed. Not only can I not do over-the-heads (shoulder) but I don't think I coudl come close to doing the close grips at 295 for 1 let alone 5!!! :)

Fucking kickass dude. :)

Thanx man. The close grips are coming along. I wonder what it would have been like if I didn't do the clean & press before. I think I could have stuck 300. :) Next week.

I feel kind of big again. MY ego had been shattered after viewing Ryan Kennelly and the 800lb bench. Thanx Lee, I needed that.
 
Is there a reason you do the tricep before the clean and press? I`m a little confused. Are all those exercises for shoulders exept the CGBP? If so, why don`t you put it at the end of the workout?

btw that IS a heavy CG.

The clean and press at the end is actually speed power cleans. Done for speed. Essentially,my workout is all finished after CGBP. The speed power cleans are extra. Something to help loosen everything up in the shoulder girdle. :)

Does that help unconfuse you?
