Should I use weights on my feet when benching

well having competed, coached and judged powerlifting events you are scratched if your head, butt or feet leave the surface completely during a lift. guys with shorter legs will use weights to give them extra leverage which is allowed, and yes i used to do it too when i competed.

just wanted to followup cause maybe i'm not explaning this right by the responses

i am talking about placing a weight UNDER your heels when you lift. no different then wearing thick soles. if you have short legs this allows you to plant your feet using the weight. it is actually a great idea if you are a shorter dude and will help keep your knees bent properly and not angled too high

i'm not saying to place weights on top of your feet to weigh them down lol.
