safety bars in the power rack saved me for the first time...

I was doing front squats with 185 and my last rep, I had bottomed out. my quads felt good throughout the the set, but that last one, I guess I couldn't get it up since I broke parallel. it was actually kind of a good feeling that I went that far.

who here has had the safety bars save them in the power rack?

I HAVE HAD POWER BARS SAVE ME MULTIPLE TIMES YOU FEEL EMBARRASSED FOR A WHILE BUT IT GOES FAST BECAUSE IF YOU GOT TO BE SAVED BY THE MACHINE THEN YOU KNOW YOUVE WORKED YOUR ASS OFF

If you've never dumped a loaded barbell before then you've never really pushed yourself far enough. If you're afraid to dump then you are missing out on some gains that you could be experiencing. "If you've never had to dump then you are a pussy-assed chump." (He, he!)

They've saved me all kinds of times, I just like knowing that they're there. My old training partner used to go up to 800lbs for a single, and insisted on squating outside of the rack, that was one time where I didn't like giving a spot.

I've had 'em save me a couple times on regular squats, yeah you do feel stupid but it's better than the alternative.

thank god someone invented those things or I would have dead years ago I have dumped 185, 225 numerous times, 315 twice in one workout and 405 once, and I bottomed out on 495 a week later. They are fucking great to do burnout sets with cause if you feel like you are gonna tip just lower the weight nd set them on the bars.....

Did 475 for 6 reps, tried a seventh and boom! --Incompetent spotter, thank god the rack was there!

They call it "mission accomplished". :)
