rice protein?

Does anyone know anything about the GI of rice protein. I picked some up at the store yesterday but it doesn't specify. Just says rice protein; the carb part of the rice has been removed. I'm hoping it will be easily digestible and hypoallergenic but don't want to get fat from it. :)

rice protein = incomplete protein

it has not a good amino acid profile

don't expect much on that protein

like stated, it's incomplete. To get the most out of the rice, have a nice chicken breast with it or even a nice plump steak

rice protien is incomplete as stated by the other esteemed members
you can complete by adding legumes and dairy
GI varies
white rice being the highest
parboiled (YUK) moderate and
short grain the lowest
brown is good the bran offsets the GI
wild rice is awesome

OK, So if I have a rice protein smoothie with a steak does that rice protein then become just as good as whey, soy, or some other protein powder?

when you combine beans and brown rice with each other, or when you combine either one with any of a number of protein-rich foods, you form a complete protein that is a quite high-quality substitute for meat.
