Pushups

Okay chunky butts. How many pushups can you do? Just curious because someone asked me that today and I guesed 40 or 50. I hadn't done them since I started working out a while ago and when I actualy tried I burnt out around 65... It seems like I remember my little arms shaking like crazy at 20 or 25 a year or so ago. Now the arms are little, but not so shakey, thats something at least.

Before I started going to the gym, I did the usual bicep and push up stuff at home, everyday. I was new at all that so I didn't yet know of the concept of overtraining.

Anyways, at my peak, I could do 45+ in a row.

Now that I have been going to the gym for a year and 3 months, I haven't done them in a while.

Shit..
I havnt done pushups in years...
I remember when I was 15 I could do 40...
I'm 21 now and about 50 lbs heavier (190 something)
I just did 40 again...
I probably could have squeezed out 5-10 more... but i was grunting really loud...

when the marines were at my HS they had a contest for a water bottle or something and I did 100 and stopped at that because everyone was watching and I knew i was getting close to failure, i figured better to step up at a nice number like that then do like 103 or something...cause no one else was anywhere near that anyway. I used to do them a lot just as a kinda fun thing...but I havent done them in so long I would prob start to burn out around 75 or something, i dont even know.

I've done 75+ and I felt it for the next few days easily and I went allthe way down, man o man did they fucking kill....

last time i tried themm.. i did about 20.. but i was 260 at the time.. (fat, not muscle).. and ive done alot of training since then..

As a kid I used to do alot of them. I could crank out 70 easy. I have recently started using them as my chest warm up. I don't do more then 20 at a time, but I can tell that I would't be able to match 70 like I used to. Maybe 50-60. (I do them strict, with my chest touching the ground).
