So I was at the gym about 2 hours ago and was doing the shoulder press, and on my very last set and last rep actually, I tried so hard to finish it and out of a natural reaction I turned my head to the right and I felt that shooting pain or almost like a rip in my neck muscle on the left and down between my shoulder blade... OMG I'm in so much pain I immediatly left and came home, just took a 90 min hot bath (was that bad?) and now I'm icing it and took 2 extra strength tylenols.. I don't know what to do, I can't even sit up straight or move my head to the left or down or up.. just to the right. Has anyone done this and how do I get it fixed, just time and rest? I had this same muscle pulled abou 4 months ago (prior to my working out) and it lasted about 6 weeks.. funny thing is that I had just woken up with it randomly and it lasted that long! I'm so worried because I start a new job Tuesday and this just sucks! Any advice to help would be much appreciated! Thank you. And yes I did stretch prior to todays workout, it was just my dumbass that needed to finish that set. I always push myself with all my might on my last set but never had this happen.
