"2100cals? Total caloric intake? Carbs and protein are 4cals/gm, fat is 9cals/gm. 240gms of protein is only 960cals"

Nevermind....reread post and answered my own question. Need to drink more coffee before I start trying to answer posts

:)

Ya right now I'm taking in 242g protein, 144g carbs, 61g fat for 2112 cals a day.

Starting next week my cals are getting bumped up by 500cals a day each week til I hit my bulking cal total of 4500 cals a day. I can't wait to stop eating like a girl :Chef:

You should actually take the creatine/glutamine with the waxy maize. That way as it fills your muscles up with glycogen and water it will literally pull the creatine (and I assume glutamine as well) into your muscles. Then you use the insulin (released because of the WM) 20 minutes later to store the protein.

crap, ill try that next week.. I didn't bring my glutamine/creatine with me.. I usually leave the gym drinking my wm, then when I get home take my shake.. Good call, makes good sense.

I think there is a limit to how much protein you can absorb at a given time. The rest just goes right through you. Even if I'm eating close to 400g a day I try to spread it out as much as possible, usually no more than 50-60g a meal. I don't think there is a set limit and I'm sure everyone is different, so you can't be sure how much your body can actually process, though I'm sure it goes up when you are on cycle.

I usually take in about 30-50 grams of protein right after workout via a shake. And then Have lunch about 30 mins later. which has a whole bunch of carbs via complex carbs and protiens from chicken or fish.

I definitely agree with you on the limit but post workout is the most important time of the day for protein and I just thought it would be a lot higher than 50grams for most people, especially when on cycle.

Learned something new :)

I think it's not about processing limit so much as it is about molecular weight, i read about it a while back.. I need to find the article.. But they explained post work out nutrition like musicjunkie did.. there is only so much protein 140g of wms will carry feel me?

personally I like to keep my intake stable all day, i total in everything at the end of the day.. weekends im lower on cals because there is not pre-wo meal or post workout mean, or post-post meal.. that just ends up being one meal on my days off.

I go for 6og waxy + 60g isolate + 10g l-glut + 10g BCAA, with water. I was considering waiting for 20 mins to hit the Insulin spike - have any of you guys noticed real benefits from this?

The body can only absorb so much protein in a meal. That is why it is good to eat small meals throughout the day. I hit 50g for each meal.

Post-workout your body may need more though but I have always sticked with 50g and I also throw a banana in my shake for the cards (it is old school but it works for me). Carbs are just as important post-workout as protein.

You can consume all the protein in the world but if you do not include carbs your body will not grow. Growth during a bulker is the #1 priority so a diet with protein with the appropriate amount of carbs is 100% necessary.

People emphasize protein a bit too much. A well-balance diet is a must. Do not neglect the carbs and healthy fats otherwise all that work will be counterproductive.
