Pre-workout

WHat does efveryone eat or drink pre-workouit? I finish eating lunch about 1pm and train at 4pm, which means my next meal is about 5:15 and its my PW shake.......too long between meals? DOnt want to train on a full tank, but should be getting something.......bar or shake? thanks
 
right now its a scoop of whey before workout

in a month during bulk it will be
1 scoop whey
creatine (5g)
dextrose (20-30g)
debating arginine AKG
 
i've been taking a protein shake with a small serving of oatmeal and a spoon of honey but im gonna hit a creatine cocktail as soon as i can afford it and start training hard once ive recovered from injuries
 
Try a little oatmeal with some whey isolate and a tbs of natural peanut butter before training. Just don't eat so much of it that you feel stuffed.

I would suggest eating at around 3pm before your workout. A good meal can be one of the following:
1) oatmeal w/ protein mixed into it and 1tbsp. of MCT oil
2) protein shake w/ MCT oil
3) meal replacement w/ some MCT or Flax

MCT oil = medium chain tryglyceride oil. It is a unique fat in that it can be used for energy just as a carbohydrate but will never raise insulin levels.
