Pre lock out pain

I was working the quads today. Got a Personal Best on Squats which was cool, but then i went on to do leg press and i was noticing that as i approached the near-lockout part of the movement, where i would generally stop and start coming down again, i was getting this wierd, not quite pain, but weakness/nerver pinching feeling. I only got through 3 sets when i felt like i was gonna drop the weight on myself or something.

Anyone know what this might be? Its only right before lockout. If i stand up, its fine, but if i start to bend my knee, it will feel super week for a second, but once i get past that first few degrees its stable again.

It sucks, cause its not pain, but its totally inhibiting me!!

Sounds like a very good reason not to do leg press to me...

Seriously...

I really don't know what to tell you. A nerve???

Yeah, the pad can adjust angles. But i dont think that is what it is. I have gotten this pain before. Sometimes i get it after i have done some biking. I will feel absolutely fine while biking, but then once i get off my bike, and try to stand up strait, my left knee will kinda go weak for a second and give out, but then once i lock, i am fine.

And its too strange, cause its not a pain. Its a weakness. Its like, when i get to a certain point, my muscle just totally relaxes, but then will tense up again.

Ill talk to my chiro on wed. see if he has any ideas.
