pin question

Maxine here. Thank you to all those replies from my previous thread. My goals..... as I've been training over the years, people have come upto me and asked, "Are you competing?" "No, just for personal satisfaction." And, I feel I have arrived at my stable point, and want to see where this could go with AS. I just feel that my curiousity, tempted with cauction and education can allow me to explore a higher level of muscularity and definition.
Now, as far as learning that those a few of those knowledgiable members have been men, alI I can say is, "Hey maybe Vicki Gates frequented this board!" I thought, "WHOA", when reading a few workouts expressed, that that gal pumps some serious weight! Anyway, PIN question... reading and researching on injections... the glutes seem to be the favored location, but doing solo sticks, are thighs a possibility? And if so, anyone tried or have done them? I read the right side thigh is better, less blood vessels and such. i understand the guages and pin size etc.... just need more info on the various location that women might have explored, for those who have. Any delt shots done by women? Thanks again. Maxine

Hi Maxine.....personally, I have only shot myself in the glutes....was easy as pie. The thighs could be a possibility ; my husband has shot there before, and thought it was pretty painful though. The delts to me, sounds like agony, and a little difficult??

Have you chosen your AS yet??

Many use the thigh, but they are far more vascular. Many small arterioles. A person here recently hit a small vessel and developed a hematoma, then cellulitis. The end result was a 3" incision, 2 weeks on IV antibiotics and 8 weeks for the wound to close (packing it every day). Posted a pic on the men's board some time ago.
